Baby #3 Update

As many of you know, I've been having weekly appointments the past 3 weeks because Marjorie's heartbeat has been being irregular at my check-ups and they wanted to keep an extra eye on it. It has been doing this on and off. Today I had an appointment at an ultrasound office for them to check and measure her heart and do an echocardiogram. Well, from what they could tell, everything looks great. The heartbeat was normal for them and everything was measuring okay. I was so relieved. It was a painful ultrasound though because baby girl was all bunched up not wanting us to see her heart and so the doctor was pushing really hard on my belly to see it well. So, I'm glad we are done, but glad we got to see her one more time. It was actually the first ultrasound Brandon has been to because he had to work for Lillian's and then when we went for Andrew's Lillian was throwing a fit, so he had to take her outside and missed half of it. So it was nice for him to get to see everything. He thinks she looks like Lillian...I guess we will see. It was very cute to see her in there balled up and you could see her opening and closing her mouth like she was eating the fluid in there. Today I am 26 weeks 2 days along, so we are less than 13 weeks away from her birth! Wow, this is flying by!

Here are two of the sonograms...the first you can sort of tell her mouth is open and then the 2nd is her full profile all snuggled up with her knees on her chest.

Baby Koenning the 3rd is a....

GIRL! I just knew it from the beginning! This pregnancy has been a lot more like my one with Lillian than with Andrew, so my instincts said girl! Sure enough, at my ultrasound appointment on Tuesday, I got to see her for myself! She is measuring perfectly for being in her 19th week. She was sticking her legs out for us and waved her hand. I will probably get to see her again in another 6 weeks because the position she was in was difficult for the person to get a good measurement of her heart. The doctor said she wasn't concerned, but just wanted to make sure she got a good look at the heart. So, yay, I get to see her one more time!
Apparently the 2 dots in the middle are labia to indicate a girl

Besides me being excited about having another girl, big sister Lillian has been very enthused! She wants to look at all the baby girl things I've been getting out of storage and keeps asking about her baby sister. She likes to rub my belly and tell it it is cute! Such a sweet big sister. Andrew seems like he could care less! ha ha...we'll see how this goes when she gets here!

2nd OB Visit

***I'll post about Christmas soon, but need to go through the pictures!****

We drove back in to Round Rock at almost 8 last night from Alto for Christmas and had to get up this morning to be at my doctor's appointment down in Austin at 8:30. I'm very happy that we had no traffic with it being the Monday after Christmas and that the kids were surprisingly easy to dress and get in the car. They were excited when I told them they were going to see Daddy at work. They have never been there. Brandon said he would watch the kids for an hour there while I went to my appointment. So I dropped them off with him and went across the street to my doctor.

I have to also say, I LOVED being one of the first appointments of the day. There was no wait! I went right in and got everything done so quickly! That was the quickest I've ever been in there and this was supposed to be a long appointment! The doctor was going to try and listen for the heartbeat and was so pleased that as soon as she placed the doppler on my belly, it was there! She said that that doppler was usually more difficult to find too, so that was really good! Then we did a quick ultrasound and saw him or her. Looking good! It was so cute to see it bounce as soon as the wand was on my belly. And it also had it's arm up with it's hand on its head. I also asked my doctor about when the c-section would most likely be and she looked at the calendar and it would probably be July 12th since 39 weeks falls on a Sunday and then Monday, the 11th is one of her own childrens' birthdays and she always takes off that day.

I left and met Brandon with the kids and they had been exploring. They walked down to a park down the road and ran around with daddy. I'm glad they all survived! Next appointment, they should be in school again...January 27th.

We Are Having a....

Blob! ha ha....Here is my first sonogram and unless you are familiar with them, you might not even be able to tell what it is. If you look in the lefthand corner in the middle of that black area towards the bottom of it, that is the baby.

Everything looks great though. The baby is measuring exactly at

where is should be for 7 weeks and 4 days. My due date is as I thought, July 17th. I will be going back to the doctor in 4 weeks and should be able to hear the heartbeat at that point. We could see it on the monitor today with the ultrasound though. Wow, it is real now. We are really are having our 3rd baby!
