One Man's Trash is Another Man's Treasure

I was walking to get the mail today...it is down the street at a group box, when I noticed something piled in a bunch of brush in front of a house for the garbage crew to pick up tomorrow. It looked very familiar and I realized what it was! It was a Little Tike's activity gym. My sisters and I had one growing up and it was our favorite thing outside to play on. We climbed, made obstacle courses and used it as a pretend house.

I went up to the people's door and asked if there was anything wrong with it and the kids answering the door just said they never used it anymore...they were older. It has a few minor cracks and is a little faded, but still good. It is only missing the slide. I emailed Little Tike's today to see if there was anyway to buy a replacement slide and am waiting to hear back, but the kids were so excited to have something else to climb on and I figure if it doesn't work out, we can just throw it away ourselves, but thought I'd at least see if the kids were interested since it was free and because I remember it so fondly from my childhood. Above is a picture of my sisters and me and some friends climbing on ours when we were little. Below is the one I got today and the kids playing on it.

Wow, I didn't even notice that the first picture was "vintage" until you pointed it out - both sets look nice. Great find! Our kids still play with our Little Tykes slide and play area even though we have a bigger playscape too.
