Birthday Boy update

Andrew has had a nice birthday so far. Because Brandon is working the evening shift today, we had Andrew's birthday after lunch. We got a free smaller cake from HEB when we bought his big birthday cake, so we saved it in the freezer for today. Andrew had a lot more fun with this cake than the one at his party. Here are some pictures of my birthday boy today.

My Baby Boy is 1 Year Old Today!

I can remember a year ago last night around 10:00 the contractions beginning and us hurrying around to put stuff in the car and figuring out how to get Lillian to her daycare teacher. After we met them at the Whataburger parking lot and handed Lillian over, we took off for the hospital. We arrived and I was hooked up for them to monitor my contractions. Once it was established that I was indeed in labor, I was to stay overnight to see if I would progress. When my doctor got in at 6 a.m., I was started on pitocin. Those contractions got really horrendous after that. After a couple of hours of wanting to die, I was given my epidural and was in heaven. But to my dismay, I wouldn't dialate past a 4. Because of the horrible ordeal I had with Lillian, I didn't want to wait all day and be exhausted only to end up with a c-section in the end again, so at about 2:00 we decided to just proceed with the c-section. I went in around 4:00 and he was born at 4:09 p.m. It was amazing to see my little boy for the first time and hold him when I reached recovery. He was just precious and perfect. Now, a year later, I'm still looking at my sweet angel just growing and getting more wonderful each day. Watch below as he grows before your eyes!

Andrew's 1st Haircut and Lillian's 2nd!

We decided it was time for Andrew's first haircut. It has been a long time coming with his hair constantly in his eyes and us having to comb it to the side. I just hated to do it before his first birthday because I thought he wouldn't look like as much of a baby afterwards, so since his party is over at least and Brandon was off work today to help, we took both kids. Lillian has only had one haircut...last January! So she didn't remember that either. She threw a big fit in the chair, but the place is great and they keep them entertained while they cut their hair. She was blowing bubbles and looking at a book. The cuts turned out great...here are some pictures.

Andrew's Birthday Party

Andrew will be turning 1 on Thursday, so we celebrated his birthday with a party on Saturday. Andrew was a little overwhelmed with all the excitement and all the people, but he still had fun. We were so happy that so many friends and family could come and celebrate with us. It was also Valentine's day, so we had so many sweets besides the cake to enjoy. We had a great time. Here are a few pictures. I will email out the rest later.
