St. Nick's Day 2011

We celebrate St. Nick's Day every year. My husband grew up celebrating it due to his German heritage, so we wanted to continue it with our kids. I have posted about this the last several years, so you can look back to read more about it. St. Nick came and left things in the kids' stockings last night and after me finally reminding them this morning about it, they finally ran in to see. They were very excited about their Veggietales DVDS and a couple of little stocking stuffers and Marjorie loved her fairy wand rattle! Lillian helped show it to her! It was a fun morning.

St. Nick Came!

Lillian and Andrew were super excited this morning to see that St. Nick had visited last night. We actually got up this morning and ate breakfast and then I asked Lillian if she thought he had come last night, so we went and looked and they were jumping up and down!

Lillian was excited to find a pretty new Barbie doll and the newest Tinkerbell movie. Andrew got some Cars movie vehicles and Toy Story 3. After seeing this excitement, I'm really looking foward to when Santa comes in a couple of weeks. They are growing up and are so cute to watch as they get so much more into it.

Look here to read more about the tradition in my post last year.

St. Nick

We brought the kids back from their weekend in Shiner today for them to find that St. Nick had visited last night. Lillian was very excited to see what was in her stocking. Andrew on the other hand, would find one thing and run off with it and then I would have to call him back to look in again and see what else was in there. Lillian lined up her things on the floor. She got Happy Feet the dvd, some Little People, and some books. Andrew got a firetruck, Little People, and some books as well. I'm very excited to see their reactions to Christmas now after this! If you are curious about why we celebrate this day...look back to my December 2008 post about St. Nick's Day. And here is a link to website that talks a little about it.
