Baby #3 Update

As many of you know, I've been having weekly appointments the past 3 weeks because Marjorie's heartbeat has been being irregular at my check-ups and they wanted to keep an extra eye on it. It has been doing this on and off. Today I had an appointment at an ultrasound office for them to check and measure her heart and do an echocardiogram. Well, from what they could tell, everything looks great. The heartbeat was normal for them and everything was measuring okay. I was so relieved. It was a painful ultrasound though because baby girl was all bunched up not wanting us to see her heart and so the doctor was pushing really hard on my belly to see it well. So, I'm glad we are done, but glad we got to see her one more time. It was actually the first ultrasound Brandon has been to because he had to work for Lillian's and then when we went for Andrew's Lillian was throwing a fit, so he had to take her outside and missed half of it. So it was nice for him to get to see everything. He thinks she looks like Lillian...I guess we will see. It was very cute to see her in there balled up and you could see her opening and closing her mouth like she was eating the fluid in there. Today I am 26 weeks 2 days along, so we are less than 13 weeks away from her birth! Wow, this is flying by!

Here are two of the sonograms...the first you can sort of tell her mouth is open and then the 2nd is her full profile all snuggled up with her knees on her chest.

2nd OB Visit

***I'll post about Christmas soon, but need to go through the pictures!****

We drove back in to Round Rock at almost 8 last night from Alto for Christmas and had to get up this morning to be at my doctor's appointment down in Austin at 8:30. I'm very happy that we had no traffic with it being the Monday after Christmas and that the kids were surprisingly easy to dress and get in the car. They were excited when I told them they were going to see Daddy at work. They have never been there. Brandon said he would watch the kids for an hour there while I went to my appointment. So I dropped them off with him and went across the street to my doctor.

I have to also say, I LOVED being one of the first appointments of the day. There was no wait! I went right in and got everything done so quickly! That was the quickest I've ever been in there and this was supposed to be a long appointment! The doctor was going to try and listen for the heartbeat and was so pleased that as soon as she placed the doppler on my belly, it was there! She said that that doppler was usually more difficult to find too, so that was really good! Then we did a quick ultrasound and saw him or her. Looking good! It was so cute to see it bounce as soon as the wand was on my belly. And it also had it's arm up with it's hand on its head. I also asked my doctor about when the c-section would most likely be and she looked at the calendar and it would probably be July 12th since 39 weeks falls on a Sunday and then Monday, the 11th is one of her own childrens' birthdays and she always takes off that day.

I left and met Brandon with the kids and they had been exploring. They walked down to a park down the road and ran around with daddy. I'm glad they all survived! Next appointment, they should be in school again...January 27th.

A New Koenning

In case you missed my post on Facebook, my email, or haven't heard through the grapevine, we just learned that we are expecting baby Koenning number 3! I still have a very long way to go as I just found out this week.

I think Brandon and I were both shocked that we conceived in our first month of trying again. We have been very lucky or blessed in that considering both Lillian and Andrew were conceived on the first try as well. I think deep down, I really thought that this time would be tougher since I know so many people right now that are having difficulty trying. I definitely feel very fortunate and blessed that we don't have to go through that stress.

This baby #3 was very planned just like our first 2. I knew after having Andrew so soon after Lillian that I wanted to wait quite a while to have another one. I wanted both kids potty trained and more self-sufficient. The potty training is done and the other part is getting there. They are still really young kids, but it is very noticible to be how much Lillian has grown in the past year.

I think both kids are going to love having a new baby in the family. I talk to them about it and of course, they don't totally "get it." But they do get excited. Lillian wants to see the baby in my belly right now....hard to explain time to a 4 year old. Andrew is going to have a difficult adjustment, I'm sure. He is Momma's baby and very set on that, so he will probably have a hard time sharing. But I know he will be a good big brother.

So far, this is a different feeling pregnancy than my others. I was already feeling nauseous before a pregnancy test could even pick up that I was pregnant and seem to feel most nauseous in the afternoon. Very strange to me since I didn't get any morning sickness until around 7 weeks with my first pregnancies. This means I started m.s. around 3 weeks!

I'll share more news as I know more about our growing family. I go to my first doctor appointment on December 2nd. My due date should be around July 17th. That is all I know for now!
